History
how we started
Constructed in 1930, the building originally served as the home of Beattie Auto Electric Ltd., reflecting the area's prominence in auto-related businesses during that era. In 1988, the venue transitioned into The Spectrum Cabaret, becoming a vibrant hub for live music enthusiasts. This transformation marked the beginning of its legacy as a cornerstone of Winnipeg's live music scene. By 1995, it had evolved into The Pyramid Cabaret, continuing its tradition of showcasing a diverse array of independent talent. Over the years, The Pyramid Cabaret has hosted an impressive lineup of performances, from BTO to Electric Six, Supersuckers, and Teenage Bottlerocket. Musicians from all over the world and across all genres have taken to the Pyramid stage and it remains a priority stop for touring bands in the US and Canada.
